Odoo does not submit to MCS or your DNO, but it keeps the job data and deadlines those submissions need.
MCS certified installers must register each installation on the MCS Installation Database and provide the certificate to the customer within 10 working days of commissioning.
Odoo does not submit to the MCS database, but commissioning dates, serial numbers and certificate references are held on the job, with scheduled activities to flag the deadline.
An MCS certified installer applies to Ofgem on the customer's behalf and the grant is deducted from the installation price.
The grant can be shown as a deduction on the quote and invoice, and voucher status tracked as a stage or field on the opportunity or project.
Small generation up to 16A per phase is notified to the DNO after commissioning under G98, while larger systems need DNO approval before connection under G99.
Project task stages and activities track application, approval and notification steps, with inverter serials and ratings stored against the job.

Can Odoo track the serial numbers of panels, inverters and batteries we install?
Yes. Odoo Inventory tracks serial numbers from supplier receipt, and Field Service records which serials were fitted on each job from the mobile app. That history is then available for warranty claims and service calls.
Does Odoo submit our MCS certificates or DNO notifications?
No, those are still submitted through the MCS Installation Database and your DNO's process. Odoo holds the commissioning date, serials and references on the job and prompts the team before deadlines such as the MCS 10 working day window.
Can engineers use Odoo on site without a laptop?
Yes. Odoo Field Service has a mobile app where engineers complete worksheets, add products used, and capture the customer's signature on the report.
How does Odoo handle the Boiler Upgrade Scheme?
Under the scheme the MCS certified installer applies to Ofgem and the grant is taken off the customer's price. Odoo can show the grant as a deduction on the quote and invoice and track the voucher stage alongside the job.
Can we sell annual servicing contracts?
Yes. Odoo Subscriptions manages recurring plans, automatic invoicing and renewals, and Helpdesk or Field Service handles the visits and fault calls under each contract.
