The bigger picture
A £5.4bn market where every project is bespoke.
Fewer kitchens, bigger projects and higher costs mean every order has to run smoothly from design to fit. Businesses that connect showroom, supply and installation protect their margin.

JKMR via kbbreview, 2026 →Sound familiar?
The problems we hear from kitchen businesses every week.
Each kitchen is a one-off project with hundreds of parts, several suppliers and a fitting team on the clock. Disconnected tools turn small errors into expensive revisits.
Every wrong unit, missing worktop and remedial visit costs margin and reviews.
Quotes rebuilt for every redesign
Units, worktops, appliances and fitting are priced by hand, so revisions take hours and margins drift between designers.
→ Odoo fix: Configurable products and quote templates
Orders keyed in twice
A signed design is retyped into supplier orders or the factory schedule, and one wrong code means a wrong door on site.
→ Odoo fix: Sales orders that drive purchasing and production
No live view of production
Nobody knows which carcasses, doors and worktops are cut, finished or packed until someone walks the factory.
→ Odoo fix: Work orders and shop-floor tablets
Deliveries and fitters out of step
Short items, late worktop templating and moved fitting dates are juggled on phones and wall planners.
→ Odoo fix: Planning for deliveries, templating and fitters
Deposits and balances chased
Deposits, stage payments and balances are tracked outside the accounts, so cash comes in late.
→ Odoo fix: Deposits, payment links and stage invoices
Aftercare lost in inboxes
Snags, warranty claims and remedial visits arrive by email and phone with no history against the original order.
→ Odoo fix: Helpdesk tickets linked to the order
Today versus tomorrow
Six tools and five hand-offs, or one record.
Follow a typical kitchen order today. Every orange dot is a hand-off where someone retypes, chases or checks. Then flip to Odoo.

How Odoo works for kitchen businesses
One record, from first visit to final fit.
Follow a kitchen order through Odoo. Each step picks up exactly where the last one finished, so nothing is retyped and every part arrives where it should.

Manufacturing, purchasing and inventory
Make or source
Confirming the order creates manufacturing orders for units you make and purchase orders for doors, worktops and appliances you buy in. Bills of materials and routings drive every cut, edge and assembly step.
- Bills of materials for carcasses, doors and panels
- Work orders by work centre: cut, edge, drill, assemble
- Make-to-order and buy-to-order from the sales order
- Quality checks before units are packed
- Stock, lots and barcode scanning in the warehouse
The right units, made or bought for the right kitchen, first time.
Planning, projects and mobile
Deliver and fit
Templating, deliveries and fitting are scheduled in Planning against each order. Fitters see their jobs, plans and drawings in the Odoo app, log time and photos, and capture the customer sign-off.
- Delivery, templating and fitting slots by team
- Installation project with tasks and checklists
- Kitchen plans and elevations opened on site
- Time and materials logged against the job
- Customer sign-off and photos captured on completion
Fitters arrive with the right kitchen, the right plan, at the right time.

FAQs
Odoo for kitchen businesses: your questions answered.
Cannot see your question? Our UK Odoo consultants are happy to talk it through.
Is Odoo suitable for kitchen manufacturers and installers?
Yes. Odoo's CRM, Appointments, Sales, Manufacturing, Purchase, Inventory, Planning, Helpdesk and Accounting apps cover the full kitchen lifecycle, from design consultation and quotation to production or supplier ordering, delivery, fitting, aftercare and invoicing, all on one database.
Can Odoo quote configurable kitchens with options?
Yes. Product variants and attributes cover ranges, door styles, colours, handles and sizes, and quotation templates add optional extras, appliances and fitting. Revisions are tracked on the same quotation, and customers sign and pay a deposit online.
Does Odoo handle manufacturing for kitchen units and worktops?
Yes. Odoo Manufacturing uses bills of materials, routings and work centres for cutting, edging, drilling, assembly and finishing. Units can be made to order from each sales order, with quality checks, lots and barcode scanning on the shop floor.
Can we schedule deliveries, templating and fitters in Odoo?
Yes. Odoo Planning schedules delivery, templating and fitting slots by team, and each installation can run as a project with tasks and checklists. Fitters see their jobs in the Odoo app, log time and capture photos and the customer sign-off.
How does Odoo handle deposits and stage payments?
Down payments by percentage or fixed amount are standard in Odoo Sales. You can invoice a deposit at order, a stage payment before delivery and the balance on completion, with online payment links and earlier payments deducted automatically from the final invoice.
Can Odoo manage aftercare, snags and warranty claims?
Yes. Odoo Helpdesk logs snags, warranty claims and remedial visits as tickets linked to the customer and order, with service levels and a customer portal. Remedial visits are scheduled in Planning and their cost is tracked back to the order.
Does Odoo support CIS for commercial kitchen fit-out?
Yes. For construction work such as commercial fit-out, Odoo's UK localisation applies CIS deductions to subcontractor labour, sends the monthly CIS return to HMRC and handles domestic reverse charge VAT through tax codes and fiscal positions.
Can we manage employees and holidays in Odoo too?
Yes. Odoo Employees holds staff records, contracts and skills, Time Off handles holidays and absence with approvals, and approved leave shows in Planning so fitters are never booked while away.
Can we move to Odoo from Sage or Xero?
Yes. We migrate your chart of accounts, customers, suppliers, products, open balances and the history you need, and can run both systems in parallel until you are confident to switch.
