FAQs
Questions buyers ask us
Does Odoo connect to Amazon?
Yes. Odoo’s official Amazon connector synchronises confirmed orders, both fulfilled by Amazon and merchant-fulfilled, and their items. For merchant-fulfilled orders, stock is managed in Odoo and synchronised with Amazon, and shipment confirmation is sent back. European marketplaces including Amazon.co.uk are supported.
Which shipping carriers work with Odoo?
Odoo’s documentation lists connectors for carriers including DHL Express, UPS, FedEx and Sendcloud, which ships from the UK and several other European countries. These connectors can return shipping rates and create labels with tracking. For carriers without an official connector, an aggregator or API integration is usually possible.
Can Odoo pull in our bank transactions?
Yes, for supported banks. Odoo’s bank synchronisation uses third-party providers to import transactions and, by default, syncs bank journals every twelve hours. It is not real time, and it requires a valid Odoo Enterprise subscription. Where a bank is not supported, statement file imports remain an option.
What is the JSON-2 API and why does it matter?
JSON-2 is Odoo’s current external API, authenticated with API keys. Odoo has deprecated the older XML-RPC and JSON-RPC endpoints, and some of their services are already removed in Odoo 20. Integrations built on JSON-2 today are far less likely to break at your next upgrade.
Can Odoo send data to other systems in real time?
Odoo automation rules can send webhook notifications to external URLs when records change, and can be triggered by incoming webhooks from other systems. That suits many near real-time needs. For high volumes or complex transformations, a dedicated integration or middleware layer is usually more robust.
Who supports an integration after it goes live?
Official Odoo connectors are maintained by Odoo as part of the product. Custom integrations need an owner. We document every flow we build, set up failure alerts, and can support integrations under an Odoo support plan so issues are picked up quickly.
