Odoo pricing UK by plan
Odoo prices Enterprise per user per month, with all apps included on paid plans. The figures below are from Odoo's UK pricing page in GBP, billed annually, excluding VAT, as checked in September 2026. First-year prices are discounted. Always check Odoo for current pricing.

Standard or Custom
Which Odoo Enterprise plan fits your business
Standard suits a single UK company running on Odoo Online with standard processes: sales, purchasing, inventory, accounting with MTD VAT, and perhaps manufacturing. There is no custom code and upgrades are handled by Odoo.
Custom is needed as soon as you have more than one legal entity in Odoo, need to connect other systems through the external API, want Odoo Studio for your own fields and screens, or need custom modules hosted on Odoo.sh or your own servers.
In practice, many UK manufacturers and distributors with ecommerce, carrier or EDI integrations end up on Custom. The price difference per user is significant, so we confirm which requirements genuinely need it during scoping.
You probably need the Custom plan if
- You run two or more companies in Odoo
- Other systems must connect via the API
- You want Odoo Studio customisation
- You need custom or third-party modules
- Your IT policy requires Odoo.sh or on-premise
Community vs Enterprise cost
Odoo Community vs Enterprise: the real cost comparison
Odoo Community is free and open source, which makes it tempting. The licence is only one line of the budget, though.

For most UK businesses, missing Enterprise features must be rebuilt or bought as third-party modules on Community, which often costs more than the licence saved.

Odoo.sh lets you choose the hosting region. We usually recommend Odoo Online or Odoo.sh for UK SMEs unless you have a specific IT requirement.
Hidden costs
Odoo costs that are easy to miss
The per-user price is only part of the picture. The first-year discount ends, so budget at list price from year two. As headcount grows, so does the licence bill, and light users only suit staff whose access fits Odoo's definition.
Third-party apps from the Odoo Apps store have their own prices and must be kept compatible when you upgrade. Custom modules need maintaining across Odoo versions, which is why we keep custom code to a minimum and build it outside Odoo's core.
Finally, budget for ownership: someone must administer Odoo, manage users and keep reports and automations working. Many UK clients cover this with a monthly Odoo support retainer with a fixed number of days.

What drives Odoo implementation cost in the UK
We do not publish a standard Odoo implementation price, because a single-company distributor and a multi-entity manufacturer are very different projects. We fix the price in a written proposal after a free scoping call, so the cost is agreed before work starts.
The biggest drivers are the number of apps and companies, how far your processes differ from standard Odoo, manufacturing and warehouse complexity, the volume and quality of data coming from Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or spreadsheets, and the integrations you need.

Stay on Standard if you can
If you run one company and can work with standard processes, Odoo Online on Standard avoids hosting and custom code costs entirely.
Configure before you code
Most requirements can be met with configuration. Every custom module adds build, test and upgrade cost, so we treat code as a last resort.
Use light users where they fit
Staff with narrow or occasional access may qualify as light users. We review user roles against Odoo's rules before you buy.
Clean data before migrating
Duplicate customers, dead products and old balances cost time to migrate. Cleaning them first shortens the project.
Phase the rollout
Go live on the core first and fund later phases from the benefits. It also reduces risk on go-live day.
