Zoho CRM vs HubSpot: which CRM should you choose?
HubSpot is loved for ease of use and inbound marketing; Zoho CRM is known for depth and value as you scale. As a Zoho Premium Partner we help firms choose, implement and sometimes move between them, and this guide sets out the trade-offs plainly.
The short answer
- HubSpot suits marketing-led teams that value ease of use and inbound tools
- Zoho CRM suits sales-led teams that need process control at a lower cost per user
- HubSpot costs rise sharply at Professional and Enterprise tiers
- Zoho offers finance, service, projects and HR on the same platform
- Moving from HubSpot to Zoho is straightforward with a clear data plan
Overview
Zoho vs HubSpot: different roots, overlapping products
HubSpot grew from inbound marketing. Its customer platform combines Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, content and data tools on a shared CRM, with a clean interface that sales and marketing teams adopt quickly. The free CRM tools are a popular starting point for small teams.
Zoho CRM grew as a sales CRM and sits inside a wider suite. It offers detailed process control with Blueprint, territory management, forecasting, multiple pipelines, Deluge scripting and Zia AI, and connects natively to Zoho Books, Desk, Projects, Campaigns, Marketing Automation and Analytics.
In practice, HubSpot tends to be chosen by marketing, and Zoho CRM by sales operations or finance, which tells you a lot about where each one shines.
HubSpot is often the better fit if
- Inbound marketing and content drive your pipeline
- Ease of use matters more than configurability
- You want marketing, sales and service in one polished UI
- Your team is small and processes are simple
- You already have HubSpot marketing skills in-house

Pricing
Zoho vs HubSpot pricing as you grow
Both platforms are cheap or free to start. The difference appears when you need automation, custom reporting, custom objects or more users, which in HubSpot usually means moving to Professional or Enterprise.
Where HubSpot costs rise
- Tier jumps: as listed in September 2026, Sales Hub Professional starts at USD 90 per seat per month billed annually, compared with a Starter entry price of USD 20.
- Onboarding fees: Professional and Enterprise carry one-time onboarding fees (USD 1,500 and USD 3,500 as listed).
- Marketing contacts: Marketing Hub pricing also scales with the number of marketing contacts you store.
Where Zoho costs stay flatter
- Zoho CRM Enterprise, which includes Blueprint, territories and advanced customisation, is listed at £35 per user/month billed annually.
- Zoho One adds finance, service, projects and HR from £37 per employee/month when every employee is licensed.
HubSpot's higher price often buys faster adoption and best-in-class inbound marketing, which can be worth it. Implementation cost depends on scope, integrations and data migration, and we fix it after a free scoping call.
Strengths
Where each CRM is strongest
Inbound marketing
Forms, landing pages, email, SEO tools, attribution and content in one place. For marketing-led growth it is hard to beat.
Adoption and simplicity
A clean, consistent interface that sales and marketing teams pick up with little training.
Process control and customisation
Enforce stages, approvals and required data with Blueprint, and build custom modules and logic. See Zoho implementation.
Whole-business platform
CRM linked natively to Zoho Desk, Zoho Books and Zoho Projects, so sales, service, delivery and finance share one customer record.
UK and international
A HubSpot alternative for UK and international teams
Teams looking for a HubSpot alternative usually want more control over the sales process or a lower cost at scale. Zoho CRM runs in regional data centres, including the EU for UK customers, and supports multiple currencies and languages for international sales.
For UK B2B teams we add our own Zoho CRM extensions for Companies House verification, UK postcode address lookup and Creditsafe credit checks, and connect CRM to Zoho Books for MTD-ready invoicing.
What we set up for UK teams
- EU data centre and UK GDPR consent settings
- Companies House and Creditsafe checks in CRM
- UK postcode address finder
- GBP price books and VAT-ready quotes
- Zoho Books link for MTD for VAT
Which should you choose
Zoho CRM or HubSpot: a simple decision guide
Choose HubSpot if
- Marketing generates most of your pipeline and inbound is your main channel.
- You want the fastest possible adoption with minimal configuration.
- Your sales process is relatively simple and budget for higher tiers is available.
Choose Zoho CRM if
- Sales operations need structured processes, approvals and data quality rules.
- You are paying for HubSpot Professional mainly for features Zoho CRM includes at a lower tier.
- You want finance, service, projects or HR on the same platform.
- You need custom modules or bespoke apps on Zoho Creator.
Or combine them
Some firms keep HubSpot Marketing Hub for inbound and use Zoho CRM for sales and operations, with an integration syncing leads and outcomes. We only suggest this when the marketing case is strong enough to justify two systems.
Migration
How to migrate HubSpot to Zoho
A HubSpot to Zoho move is usually quick, but email history, associations and marketing consent need care. Full detail on our Zoho migration page.

Map
Map companies, contacts, deals, tickets and custom objects to Zoho modules, keeping associations intact.
Rebuild automation
Recreate workflows as Zoho rules and Blueprints, improving them rather than copying workarounds.
Migrate and test

Go live
Training, cut-over, a final delta load and hypercare, then Zoho support if you want it.
