Odoo implementation Ireland
One ERP for sales, stock, manufacturing and finance
Odoo replaces a patchwork of accounting software, spreadsheets and stock tools with one system. The result depends on the implementation: the modules chosen, how they are configured and how well your data is moved across.
Odoo implementation

Migration to Odoo
From Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, older Odoo versions or spreadsheets, with opening balances and history reconciled. See Odoo migration.

Irish VAT and Revenue
Odoo's Irish localisation, set up properly
Odoo includes a fiscal localisation for Ireland with an Irish chart of accounts and VAT taxes. It is a sound starting point, but it still needs to match how your accountant prepares VAT returns and filings through Revenue Online Service (ROS).
We review the tax report lines, fiscal positions and account mappings with your accountant before go-live. That covers domestic VAT rates, reverse charge on cross-border B2B supplies, EU OSS for distance sales to consumers, and imports and exports outside the EU.
The aim is simple: VAT figures that come straight out of Odoo without manual journals at the end of each period. We work alongside your tax adviser on filing rules rather than replacing their advice.
Irish finance setup we handle
- Irish chart of accounts and VAT taxes
- Tax report lines mapped for your ROS returns
- Fiscal positions for EU, UK and rest of world
- EU OSS data for distance sales
- Multi-currency EUR, GBP and USD with bank feeds
Odoo partner Europe
eInvoicing and Peppol: getting ready now
Revenue has published a phased VAT modernisation roadmap, with structured B2B eInvoicing starting from 2028 for larger businesses and extending to others after that. Across Europe, Peppol is becoming the common network for exchanging electronic invoices.
Odoo supports sending and receiving invoices over Peppol in supported countries, and its documentation covers electronic invoicing for Ireland. Detailed Irish requirements are still being finalised, so we do not promise a finished compliance feature today.
What we do now is make sure your customer and supplier records hold the identifiers, VAT numbers and addresses that structured invoices need, and that products, units and tax codes are consistent. When your go-live date for eInvoicing arrives, the change is configuration, not a data clean-up project.
Ireland and UK in one system
Multi-company Odoo across Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain
Many Irish groups run a Republic of Ireland company in EUR alongside a UK company in GBP. Odoo multi-company lets each entity keep its own chart of accounts, taxes and currency while sharing products, customers and warehouses where that makes sense. Multi-company needs Odoo's Custom plan.
Since Brexit, goods moving between Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain can be treated differently from services, and Northern Ireland has its own arrangements for goods under the Windsor Framework. We keep this practical: separate fiscal positions per trading route, clear customs and VAT fields on documents, and treatments confirmed with your adviser.
We have done this kind of work before. For a UK seafood processor and distributor we run Odoo across two legal entities with different costing methods, one standard with landed costs and one average, plus multi-company accounting, traceability and B2B and B2C channels.
“Super knowledgeable team with great leadership. They delivered an enterprise-grade app in record time.”
