Canadian sales tax in Odoo
GST, HST, PST and QST applied by province, automatically
Canadian sales tax follows the place of supply. Harmonized provinces charge a single HST, others charge GST with a separate PST, and Quebec charges GST plus QST. Odoo's Canadian localization provides the taxes, and we set up fiscal positions so each sale picks the right combination from the delivery address.
For a distributor in Ontario shipping to Quebec, British Columbia and the US, that means one order screen and correct tax on every invoice, with GST/HST and provincial amounts posted to separate accounts for your returns. Exempt customers and zero-rated exports are handled in the design.
We work with your accountant on registration and filing decisions. Our job is to make sure Odoo records tax the way they have told you to, and that it reconciles at month end.

On privacy, we configure access rights, record rules, retention and consent in line with PIPEDA, and document the setup to support Quebec Law 25 duties such as privacy assessments and a designated person responsible for personal information. Marketing emails from Odoo are set up to respect CASL consent.
For hosting, Odoo Online runs in Odoo's Americas region, Odoo.sh lets you choose from Odoo's available hosting locations, and on-premise or a private Canadian server is an option where your policy requires data to stay in Canada. We recommend the right model during discovery.
