Built for UK trading
Odoo configured for UK VAT, MTD and banking
Odoo is used worldwide, so its defaults are not UK defaults. We start from Odoo's UK localisation (the l10n_uk module), which provides a UK chart of accounts and VAT taxes, then adjust it to your accountant's structure and reporting needs.
For Making Tax Digital, Odoo Enterprise can submit VAT returns to HMRC from within the accounting app. We set up the connection, map tax codes to the right VAT return boxes, and walk your finance team through a trial return before you go live.
Banking is where many UK projects stall. We configure bank feeds and reconciliation rules, Bacs payment runs for suppliers, and Direct Debit collection for customers where your bank or payment provider supports it, so month end stops depending on spreadsheets.
UK-specific setup we handle
- UK chart of accounts, VAT rates, reverse charge and postponed import VAT
- HMRC MTD VAT submission and return box mapping
- Bank feeds, reconciliation models and Bacs supplier payments
- Direct Debit collection through a supported provider
- GBP with multi-currency for EU and export customers

Built to scale with you
UK-led design. A dedicated delivery centre behind it.
Your project is led from Northampton by UK consultants who run the workshops, own the design and stay accountable. Our delivery centre in Coimbatore, India gives you certified developers and ISTQB-certified testers, so we can take on larger rollouts and extended-hours support without a single point of failure.
Both run under the same ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 controls. Our developers also build and publish our own Odoo apps:
Our Odoo apps
An Odoo partner that builds and publishes its own apps
We do not only configure Odoo. Our developers publish Odoo apps that solve everyday problems we met on client projects, which means your custom work is built by people who know how Odoo modules are structured and upgraded.
The same standards apply to your project: code reviewed, tested by ISTQB-certified testers, documented, and kept separate from Odoo's core so that upgrades stay manageable. Our ISO 27001 and ISO 9001:2015 certifications cover how we handle your data and changes.

Are we the right fit?
Honest answers before you book a call
We work best with a certain kind of business. If we are not the right partner for you, we would rather say so now.
- UK businesses with roughly 10 to 500 users
- Manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers and food and drink businesses
- Businesses outgrowing Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or an old ERP
- Leaders who want one partner from design to long-term support
- Not ideal if you have under 10 users and standard needs: Odoo's own Success Packs may be enough
- Not ideal if you want to skip discovery: we never start building before Scope is signed off
Editions and hosting
Odoo Community vs Enterprise, and Online vs Odoo.sh vs on-premise
Two choices shape cost and flexibility more than any other. We will recommend the combination that fits your size, customisation needs and IT policy.
| Option | What it is | Good fit when | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Odoo Community | Free, open-source core | Simple needs and in-house technical skills | No full accounting, Studio, MTD submission or official mobile app |
| Odoo Enterprise | Licensed edition with all apps and Odoo support | Most UK businesses needing full accounting and MTD | Per-user licence cost; the Custom plan is needed for some features |
| Odoo Online | SaaS hosted by Odoo, upgrades included | Standard processes, fast start, no custom code | Custom modules and most third-party apps cannot be installed |
| Odoo.sh | Odoo's cloud platform for Enterprise, with staging and Git | Custom modules or integrations with managed hosting | Hosting is billed separately; needs the Custom plan |
| On-premise | Self-hosted on your servers or cloud | Strict data residency or IT control requirements | You own backups, security and upgrades |
Licence costs are explained in our Odoo pricing UK guide.
