Planning an itinerary

1. Connect Odoo with Mapbox

To enable dynamic route planning, you first need to integrate Mapbox with Odoo:

• Create or log in to a Mapbox account at com.
  
  
• Create an access token.
  
  
• Go to the Access Tokens page on Mapbox and copy the token.
  
  
• In Odoo, open the Settings
  
  
• Scroll down to the Integrations
  
  
• Paste your Mapbox token into the Map Routes field and click Save.
  
  

2. Display Your Itinerary on a Map

Once Mapbox is connected, you can view and plan your routes directly in Odoo.

• Go to Field Service → My Tasks → Map.
  
  
• Odoo automatically sorts tasks by their Planned Date, creating an itinerary from one location to the next.
  
  
• To view your route in real-time, click View in Google Maps. This opens the itinerary in the Google Maps app or website, with your current location set as the starting point.
  
  

 Important: For a task to appear on the map, the customer must have a valid address.

3. Navigating and Managing Tasks on the Map

• By default, the map shows today’s tasks. To view more, remove the Today filter in the search bar. Tasks will then be displayed by date in the left-hand column.
  
  
• Click a task in the left column or on a map pin to see details.
  
  
• From there, you can:
  
  
  • Open the task to review details.
    
    

Click Navigate to for directions from your current location to that specific site.
