Payment terminals

Odoo POS payment terminals let you take card payments at the till with the amount sent straight from Odoo to the card machine. Once the transaction succeeds, the payment is validated in the POS automatically, which avoids keying errors.

Supported terminals

Odoo 18 integrates with Adyen, Ingenico, Mercado Pago, Pine Labs, Razorpay, SIX, Stripe, Tyro, Viva.com and Worldline. Availability depends on your country and provider.

How to set up a terminal

1. Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings, enable the terminal in Payment Terminals and click Save.
2. Go to Point of Sale > Configuration > Payment Methods and create a payment method.
3. Set Integration to Terminal, select the terminal and complete its provider-specific settings.
4. Add the payment method to the POS in Point of Sale > Configuration > Settings.

Taking a payment

On the Payment screen, select the terminal’s payment method and follow the instructions on the device. Click Cancel to stop a payment request.

Frequently asked questions

What happens if the terminal loses connection?

Connection problems between Odoo and the terminal cancel the transaction, so the payment must be taken again.

Which terminals work with Odoo self-ordering kiosks?

Only Adyen and Stripe terminals can be used for payments at a self-ordering kiosk.
