Products

Odoo lets you add and manage the products shown on your website directly from the Website app, whether you create them from the front end or the backend.

Adding products

1. From the front end, click + New and select Product, then enter the Product Name, Sales Price and default Customer Taxes, and click Save.
2. From the backend, go to Website > eCommerce > Products and click New.

Products created from the front end publish automatically. Products created from the backend need to be published manually: open the product’s Go to Website smart button, then toggle it from Unpublished to Published.

Managing product pages

Once created, a product’s page, variants, images and stock can be edited like any other website page, and products can be bulk imported from XLSX or CSV files via Website > eCommerce > Products.

How do I add a product to my website from the front end?

Click + New in the top-right corner and select Product, then enter the name, sales price and taxes.

Are products created from the backend published automatically?

No, only products created from the frontend publish automatically; backend-created products must be published manually from their page.
