Introduction to Odoo Discuss App

Odoo Discuss is the internal communication app used for chat, file sharing, notes and video calls across the whole business. A persistent chat window and a dedicated dashboard mean it stays available whether you are working in CRM, Sales, Inventory or any other app.

What Discuss lets you do

• Send direct messages to colleagues.
• Share files and notes instantly.
• Start video meetings without leaving Odoo.
• Manage notification preferences and message history.

How to access the Discuss dashboard

1. Open the Discuss app.
2. On the dashboard, check Inbox for unread messages, Starred for messages you have marked, and History for chatter updates on records you are tagged in.

How to send a direct message

1. Click the plus icon next to Direct Messages in the sidebar.
2. Search for and select one or more colleagues, then press Enter.

How to start a video meeting

1. From the dashboard, click Start a Meeting and invite participants, or click Start a Call inside an existing chat.

During a call you can mute or unmute, turn the camera on or off, share your screen, raise your hand, or go full screen.
