Odoo Kitchen Display, part of Point of Sale, shows staff exactly which orders need preparing and tracks them through to completion. It suits restaurants preparing meals in a kitchen and retailers who gather items together for customer pickup after a sale.

What Odoo Kitchen Display does

Once an order is placed at the till, Kitchen Display notifies the preparation team and shows the items involved, grouped by category. Staff move each order through configurable stages, such as to prepare, ready and completed, until it is handed to the customer.

Key capabilities

• Send orders from Point of Sale straight to a preparation display
• Group displays by product category, for example drinks or food
• Define preparation stages with an alert timer showing expected processing time
• Cross off items individually or mark a whole order complete
• Show customers a simple order status screen for pickup

Setting it up

Preparation Display is enabled in the Point of Sale settings, after which a display can be created and linked to a specific point of sale and the product categories it should handle.
