The Odoo Events Registration Desk lets staff grant access to attendees as they arrive, whether by scanning a badge or selecting them manually, and logs attendance for reporting.

The Registration Desk page

On a mobile device or in a browser, go to Events > Registration Desk. From here you can choose Scan a badge or Select Attendee.

Scanning a badge

  1. Tap Scan a badge.
  2. Grant Odoo access to the camera when prompted; the scanner will not work without it.
  3. Align the attendee’s badge code inside the viewfinder box in the Barcode Scanner pop-up.

Once scanned, the attendee is granted access and their attendance is logged automatically. An invalid barcode shows an error message in the upper-right corner.

Selecting an attendee manually

Tap Select Attendee to open the Attendees page, listing registrations across all events. In the default Kanban view, each card shows the attendee’s name, event, company and ticket tier; click the card and confirm to mark them as attended. In List view, click Mark as Attending on the attendee’s line instead.

Filtering attendees

Click the down arrow beside the search bar to open Filters, Group By and Favorites options. Grouping by Event narrows the page down to one event, which is useful during a busy check-in.

Tips

  • Grant camera access before the event starts to avoid delays at check-in.
  • Use filters and grouping to manage large attendee lists.
  • Switch to List view for faster bulk check-ins.

What do I need for the Scan a badge option to work?

Odoo must be granted access to the device’s camera; without it, the barcode scanner will not open.
