Amazon Connector configuration

Connecting an Amazon Seller account to Odoo Sales lets orders, stock and shipping sync automatically. This guide covers the setup steps and how product and tax matching works.

Before you start

An active, paid Amazon Seller account is required. Set one up on Amazon under Account & Lists > Start a Selling Account, then follow Amazon’s sign-up process before linking it to Odoo.

How to enable the Amazon Connector

  1. In Odoo, go to Sales > Configuration > Settings > Connectors.
  2. Activate Amazon Sync and click Save.

How to link the Amazon Seller account

  1. Click the Amazon Accounts link under the Amazon Sync setting, then click New.
  2. Enter an Account Name, and in the Credentials tab, select the marketplace the account was created on from Home Marketplace.
  3. Save the form to reveal the Link with Amazon button, and click it to authenticate and grant Odoo access.
  4. Once confirmed, Odoo registers the account and syncs the available marketplaces under the Marketplaces tab. Remove any marketplace here you do not want to synchronise.

How product matching works

Odoo identifies items using the product’s Internal Reference: marketplace products are matched by Amazon SKU, shipping by the Amazon shipping code, and gift wrapping by the Amazon gift wrapping code. When a match is found, an Amazon Offer is created and listed under the Offers smart button on the account form.

If no match is found, Odoo falls back to default products, such as Amazon Sale for unmatched SKUs and Amazon Shipping for unmatched shipping codes. To change these, activate Developer Mode and go to Sales > Configuration > Settings > Connectors > Amazon Sync > Default Products.

Tax configuration

Taxes on Amazon orders are applied based on either the taxes configured on the product, or the fiscal position assigned when the order is created. Keep tax settings in Odoo aligned with Amazon’s to avoid discrepancies in order subtotals.
