Introduction to Odoo Email Marketing

Odoo Email Marketing lets any business create, send and track professional email campaigns, using a drag-and-drop editor, ready-made templates and detailed reporting.

The Mailings dashboard

Open the Email Marketing app to reach the Mailings dashboard, shown by default in List view with columns such as Date, Subject, Sent, Delivered (%) and Opened (%). Switch to Kanban to drag campaigns through the stages Draft, In Queue, Sending and Sent, or use Calendar or Graph view to track mailings over time or by performance.

Creating an email

  1. Click New and add your mailing lists, contacts or filters as recipients.
  2. Design the email in the Mail Body tab using drag-and-drop blocks, or start from a plain template.
  3. Optionally enable A/B Testing to compare different versions.

Configuring settings

In the Settings tab, add a Preview Text (shown next to the subject in inboxes), set the Send From and Reply To addresses, attach files, assign a responsible user, or link the email to a mailing campaign.

Sending and tracking

  • Send immediately, Schedule it for a future date and time, or send a Test to yourself or colleagues first.
  • Use the Graph or List view, with filters and grouping, to monitor opens, clicks and replies once it is sent.

  • Use mailing lists and filters to target the right audience.
  • Use A/B testing to compare subject lines or layouts.
  • Keep branding and tone consistent across campaigns.
