The Odoo Sales app runs the sales process from the first quotation through to delivery and invoicing. This introduction outlines the main stages, from creating a quotation to managing products and pricing.

1. Create and send quotations

Build a quotation from the Sales app, choose a customer, and add products or services. Optional products can be included to encourage additional purchases, and an online signature can be requested for quicker confirmation.

2. Confirm orders with ease

Once a customer accepts, click Confirm to convert the quotation into a sales order. Online payment can be enabled for instant confirmation, and quotation deadlines encourage faster decisions. Customers can also sign the order online, or pay by card, bank transfer, or eWallet directly through the customer portal.

3. Deliver the order

Once confirmed, Odoo handles fulfilment: a delivery order is created automatically, different delivery and billing addresses can be set, shipping status is tracked in real time, and product variants such as colour or size can be used for customised orders.

4. Invoice the sale

Odoo Sales supports several invoicing methods: based on ordered quantities, based on delivered quantities, down payments or pro-forma invoices sent before delivery, invoicing based on time and materials, project milestone invoicing, and reinvoicing expenses to customers. Invoices can be created in a few clicks and sent directly from the system.

5. Manage products and pricing

Keep products, variants and pricelists up to date, accept multiple currencies for international customers, and manage returns and refunds from the same dashboard.

6. Connect with marketplaces

Sync orders, pricing and stock levels automatically with online marketplaces such as Amazon and Shopee.
