Odoo Manufacturing helps manufacturers plan, schedule and track production, from bills of materials and work orders through to shop floor execution. It suits businesses that assemble or produce goods in-house, or that rely on subcontractors, and need clear visibility of costs, timing and stock.

What Odoo Manufacturing does

The app manages the full production cycle: setting up bills of materials (BoMs), running one, two or three-step manufacturing operations, tracking work centres and work orders, and recording the cost of each manufacturing order. Tablets on the shop floor can be used to control work orders in real time, record scrap, and flag quality issues.

Main capabilities

  • Basic and advanced BoM configuration, including kits, multi-level BoMs and product variants
  • Work centre scheduling, work order dependencies and time off
  • Manufacturing workflows such as backorders, splitting and merging orders, unbuilding, and tracking by-products
  • Shop Floor module for real-time order tracking on the production floor
  • Subcontracting, where a third party manufactures products on the company’s behalf
