General theme

The Odoo Website theme controls the overall look of your site: its colours, fonts, buttons and links. Setting it up well gives every page a consistent, on-brand appearance.

Choosing or switching a theme

You are prompted to choose a theme when creating your website; if you skip this step, a default theme is applied. You can switch themes at any time from the website editor’s Theme tab.

Theme colours

Odoo uses Theme Colors, a set of colours applied consistently across the whole site, and element-level colour options for individual blocks. Adjusting the theme colours is the quickest way to apply your brand palette everywhere.

Fonts

Set separate font styles for paragraphs, headings, buttons and input fields, and adjust font family, size, line height and margins. To use a custom font, choose Add a Custom Font, then select a Google Font or upload your own file. When using Google Fonts, consider hosting them locally for data protection compliance.

Buttons and links

In the Button section, set the primary and secondary styles (fill, outline or flat), border width, padding, corner rounding and click animation, including separate small and large button sizes. In Link Style, choose whether links show no underline, an underline on hover, or an underline at all times.

Tips

• Keep the palette and font choices simple and consistent across pages.
• Use high-contrast colours for buttons and calls to action.
• Preview the site on mobile before publishing changes.
