Introduction

Odoo’s Replenishment Report is an interactive dashboard that helps you forecast and manage product restocking.
By combining manual reordering rules, lead times, and upcoming demand, it allows you to maintain optimal stock levels, reduce overstocking, and avoid stockouts — all while consolidating orders for efficiency.

What Is the Replenishment Report?

The replenishment report is a monitoring tool that works with standard reordering rules, but adds interactive features to:

  • Anticipate future needs.
  • Keep less stock on hand without risking shortages.
  • Plan replenishments ahead of time.
  • Group and consolidate orders to reduce costs.

You can access it in Inventory → Operations → Replenishment.

Note: Automatic reordering rules also appear in this menu but are hidden by default.

Key Features of the Replenishment Dashboard

While the dashboard uses standard reordering rules, it adds unique fields and controls:

1) Adjusting the “To Order” Quantity

  • By default, Odoo suggests the amount needed to reach the Max Quantity in your reordering rule.
  • You can manually edit this value by clicking in the To Order field.
  • To replenish manually, click Order.

2) Snooze

  • Temporarily pauses a reordering rule for a chosen period.
  • The product is hidden from the dashboard during this time, even if it would normally appear.

3) Vendor Filtering

  • Assigning a Vendor to a product allows you to filter or group replenishment suggestions by supplier.
  • This can simplify ordering and reduce shipping costs.
  • To display the Vendor column, click the settings icon and enable it in the drop-down list.

Order to Max

Normally, replenishment is triggered only when stock is forecasted to drop below the minimum quantity.

However, there are situations where you might want to order up to the maximum quantity even if it’s not strictly needed for example:

  • To reach supplier discount thresholds.
  • To save on delivery costs.

How to use Order to Max:

  1. Select one or more products by ticking their checkboxes.
  2. Click Replenish → Order to Max.
  3. Odoo creates an RFQ for each product for the earliest replenishment date, ordering the maximum quantity set in the reordering rule.

Horizon Days

Horizon Days define how far into the future Odoo should check whether a product’s forecasted stock will fall below its minimum quantity.

Purpose:

  • Plan replenishment earlier.
  • Display upcoming needs before they become urgent.

How it works:

  • If set to 7, Odoo shows all manual reordering rules that will trigger within the next 7 days.
  • This allows you to prepare orders in advance.

Difference from Visibility Days:

  • Visibility Days: Only considers future demand if a replenishment would be triggered today.
  • Horizon Days: Looks ahead and triggers as soon as future demand falls below the minimum — even if today’s stock is sufficient.

Replenishment Information Pop-up

Clicking the info icon in any row opens the Replenishment Information window, which displays:

  • Lead times
  • Forecasted date
  • Relevant warehouses

Multi-Warehouse Sourcing

If your warehouse replenishes stock from another warehouse:

  1. Open the Replenishment Information pop-up.
  2. Check Available Quantity in other warehouses.
  3. Select a sourcing warehouse and click Select Route.

Once ordered, the product’s route reverts to its preferred setting (e.g., Buy or Manufacture).
