Introduction

For large businesses with multiple offices, stores, or warehouses located across different regions, Zoho Inventory’s Branch feature allows seamless management and tracking. Each branch can be individually configured and linked to relevant GSTINs, warehouses, and transactions

Basic Functions -Branches:

Branches help you manage business operations across multiple locations. Here’s how you can add them.

Enable Branches

To enable the Branches feature:

Go to Settings > Branches.
Click Enable Branches.

Create a New Branch

Go to Settings > Branches.
Click Add Branch in the top-right corner.

3. Fill in:

Branch Name
Branch Address
Primary Contact (optional)
GSTIN (Select an existing one or click + New GSTIN)
Transaction Series (Choose from dropdown or click + New Transaction Series)

Click Save.

Configure Transaction Series

To efficiently track and differentiate transactions across branches, Zoho Inventory allows you to create unique transaction series for each branch. This ensures clarity, especially when managing multiple GSTINs and locations.

How to Create a New Transaction Series

Go to Settings > Branches.
Click on the Transaction Series Preferences
Click + New Transaction Series.

Fill in the required details:

Name: Enter a name (e.g., branch name or location).
Branch: Select the branch this series applies to.
Prefix/Suffix: Enter a prefix or suffix for transactions (e.g., MUM, PUN, or BR1-).
Click Save.

User Permissions

Go to Settings > Users & Roles.
Click on the Roles tab.
Choose a custom role and click Edit.
Scroll to the Branches section.

Check the boxes next to the actions you want the role to be allowed to perform:
View Branches
Create Branch
Edit Branch
Delete/Deactivate Branch
Click Save to apply the changes.
