How to Map your Custom Domain to Zoho Billing?

Custom domain mapping lets your customers see your own branded web address, instead of a standard Zoho domain, on your customer portal, hosted payment pages and invoice links in Zoho Billing.

Before you start

• A domain you own, such as billing.yourcompany.com.
• Access to your domain’s DNS settings through your domain provider.
• A Zoho Billing plan that supports custom domain mapping. Check the current plans on zoho.com to confirm availability.

How to map a custom domain

1. Go to Settings > Organization > Custom Domain.
2. Click Map Custom Domain.
3. Enter your subdomain, for example billing.yourcompany.com, and click Next.
4. In your domain provider’s DNS settings, add a CNAME record using the host name and value Zoho Billing provides.
5. Return to Zoho Billing and click Submit & Verify.

DNS changes can take some time to take effect. If verification fails, wait and try again, or check with your DNS provider.

SSL certificate

Once your domain is verified, Zoho installs an SSL certificate for it. You’ll get an email once it’s ready, after which your branded links are served securely.

Deleting or changing your custom domain

Before deleting, disable the custom domain and remove the CNAME record from your domain provider. Then:

1. Go to Settings > Organization > Custom Domain.
2. Click Delete, confirm, and click Delete again.

Any previous links using the custom domain stop working, with no automatic redirect, so customers will need the default Zoho URLs. You can set up a new domain the same way if your branding changes later.
