Understanding Zoho One Admin Panel

The Zoho One Admin Panel is the central place for managing your organisation: users, apps, security and delegated admin roles. This guide covers what each area of the panel does.

Dashboard

The dashboard shows key metrics such as user activity, app usage and login trends, useful for monitoring adoption and spotting anything unusual.

Adding and managing users

From Directory > Users, click Add User and enter their name, email, department, role, location and time zone. You can auto-generate or set a password, and choose whether to send a welcome email.

Active Directory sync

From Directory > AD Sync, connect your Active Directory to Zoho One so user provisioning happens automatically and user details stay current.

App provisioning

From Apps or the Marketplace, assign apps to users manually, in bulk, or using conditions based on department or role, to automate assignment.

Security settings

Under Security, enforce multi-factor authentication, password strength and session timeouts. Use Account Activity to review login history and manage active sessions.

Delegating admin roles

From Directory > Admins & Roles, assign system roles such as Owner, Admin, App Admin or Helpdesk Admin, or set up custom roles with selective permissions for department-specific tasks.

Tips

• Review inactive users regularly and revoke access promptly.
• Use AD sync and conditional app assignment to reduce manual admin work.
• Check session logs periodically to keep security tight.
