Zoho Catalyst integrations settings let you connect your Catalyst project to popular Zoho apps and third-party services, including Zoho CRM, OpenAI, GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket, and manage those connections across your development and production environments.

Zoho CRM integration

Connecting Zoho CRM lets your Catalyst project respond to CRM events using Zoho Event Listeners. You need an existing Zoho CRM account, and any edition, including the free version, is supported.

Development environment

  1. Go to Integrations in the General Settings of your Catalyst console.
  1. Select Zoho CRM and open the Development tab.
  2. Click Add Account, choose your existing Zoho CRM account from the dropdown, and click Accept to grant the required permissions.

Catalyst then syncs with your CRM account, which usually takes 2 to 4 minutes; once complete, the status shows as Granted and the account is ready for use with event listener rules.

Production environment

  1. Go to Integrations and select Zoho CRM, then open the Production tab.
  2. Click Add Account, select the relevant project, choose your Zoho CRM account and click Accept.

Catalyst performs an organisation sync and shows the status once complete. Before deploying to production, all event listener rules must be linked to a production environment account; you are prompted to complete this during deployment if it has not been done already.

Revoking a Zoho CRM integration

To pause a connection temporarily, click the ellipsis icon next to the account and select Revoke. Its status changes to Revoked, and you can restore access at any time by selecting Grant, after which its rules resume running.

Deleting a Zoho CRM account

To remove an account permanently, click the ellipsis icon next to it,

select Delete and confirm. All rules associated with that account are disabled, and re-adding the same account later does not automatically restore them; they must be reconfigured manually.

Deleting the Zoho CRM service

To remove every Zoho CRM account and configuration at once, click the ellipsis icon for the service at the top right,

type DELETE in the confirmation prompt and click Confirm. All related accounts are removed, and event listener rules linked to them are disabled until reconfigured.

Configuring the OpenAI integration

Catalyst can connect to OpenAI to power features such as Code Generator, Code Converter, Debugger and Test Case Generator through the Zia AI Assistant. To use these, you supply your own OpenAI API key.

  1. Go to Integrations and select OpenAI Integration.
  2. Choose an existing API key or generate a new one from OpenAI, then paste the secret key into the field and click Configure Key.

Read and accept the data privacy terms to finish. Only one API key can be configured per Catalyst organisation, and all users in the organisation share it.

To update the key, click the ellipsis icon in the OpenAI Integration section, select Edit, enter the new key and click Update. To disable it, click the ellipsis icon, choose Disable and confirm; this stops access to all OpenAI-powered features until you re-enable it.

Connecting GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket

Catalyst connects to GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket through Catalyst Pipelines, its CI/CD service for automating development and deployment.

  1. Go to Integrations and select the relevant service.
  2. Click Add Account.
  1. Accept the terms, sign in with your credentials, and authorise Zoho Catalyst to access your repository.

You can add multiple accounts as needed. To revoke a Git integration, click the ellipsis icon next to the account, select Revoke and confirm; you can reconnect the account later if needed.

Catalyst Pipelines uses a YAML configuration to automate actions such as cloning repositories, building code and deploying applications.

Tips

  • Make sure event listener rules are correctly linked to either development or production accounts before deploying.
  • Reconfiguring a deleted account does not restore its previous rule associations.
  • Use a single OpenAI API key for your organisation to keep setup simple.
  • Revoke access when pausing an integration rather than deleting it, to keep its configuration for later.

Which Zoho CRM edition can I connect to Catalyst?

Any edition, including the free version, can be connected as long as you have an existing Zoho CRM account.

How many OpenAI API keys can a Catalyst organisation configure?

Only one. All users in the organisation share the same key for OpenAI-powered features.

Does deleting a connected account restore its rules if I reconnect it later?

No, re-adding the same account later does not automatically restore previously linked rules; they need to be reconfigured manually.
