Zoho Inventory Branches: An Overview

Zoho Inventory’s Branches feature lets larger businesses with several offices, stores or warehouses manage and track each location separately. Each branch can be configured individually and linked to its own warehouses, tax registration and transactions.

How to enable branches

  1. Go to Settings > Branches.
  2. Click Enable Branches.

How to create a new branch

  1. Go to Settings > Branches.
  2. Click Add Branch in the top right.
  1. Fill in the branch name, address, and an optional primary contact.
  2. Add a GSTIN if applicable to your organisation, selecting an existing one or creating a new one.
  3. Choose a transaction series from the dropdown, or create a new one.
  4. Click Save.

How to configure a transaction series

A transaction series lets you track which branch a transaction belongs to, using a prefix or suffix on transaction numbers.

  1. Go to Settings > Branches and open Transaction Series Preferences.
  2. Click + New Transaction Series.
  1. Enter a name, such as the branch name or location.
  2. Select the branch this series applies to.
  3. Enter a prefix or suffix, for example a branch code, and click Save.

How to set user permissions for branches

  1. Go to Settings > Users & Roles and open the Roles tab.
  2. Choose a custom role and click Edit.
  3. Scroll to the Branches section.
  1. Tick the actions this role should be allowed to perform: View, Create, Edit, or Delete/Deactivate branches.
  2. Click Save to apply the changes.
