The Organization section in Zoho Books holds the core details of your company account: your organisation profile and your opening balances. Getting these right early on keeps your invoices, reports and VAT returns accurate from day one.

What this section covers

Your Organization Profile stores your legal company name, logo, address, base currency, fiscal year and VAT details, all of which appear on invoices, quotes and reports. Your Opening Balances record the account, customer and vendor balances you are bringing into Zoho Books from a previous system or from manual bookkeeping, so your accounts start in the correct position.

Who this is for

These settings are typically completed once, when you first set up your organisation, by an Admin user or an accountant. They can be revisited whenever your company details change, such as a new address or a change of fiscal year.

Go to Settings in the top right corner, then Profile under Organization.

Who can change organisation settings?

Only users with Admin access, or a custom role with permission to update the organisation profile, can make changes here.
