VAT settings in Zoho Inventory control how VAT is applied to your sales and purchase transactions, so your invoices and reports show the correct rates for your UK organisation.

How to enable VAT

  1. Click the gear icon (Settings) and select VAT.
  2. Tick VAT Registration and enter your VAT registration number from your HMRC certificate.
  3. Enable International Trade if you deal with cross-border transactions.
  4. Click Save to activate the VAT Rates section.

Managing VAT rates

Zoho Inventory sets up a few default VAT rates when you activate VAT. From the VAT Rates tab you can:

  • Click + New VAT to add a rate, entering a name and percentage.
  • Hover over a rate and click Edit to update it.
  • Hover over a rate and click the trash icon to delete it.

Pricing preferences

Under More Settings > General Preferences, choose whether item prices are shown inclusive or exclusive of VAT. Stick to one choice so your reporting stays consistent.
