How to Navigae in the Console?

Once you have created and opened a Catalyst project, you land on its main index page. This guide covers finding your way around the Catalyst Console, from exploring services to switching projects and reading your dashboard.

Exploring services and components

The left-hand navigation menu is where you access all the services in your project, with CodeLib at the bottom of the list. Click Start Exploring to see the components available within a service. You cannot deploy a service to production until you have explored it this way. Components within a service are organised into categories based on their features and purpose.

To open the dashboard for services such as Serverless and Cloud Scale, click the service name at the top of the screen.

Switching between projects

At the top of the console, a dropdown menu lets you switch between your different projects quickly.

To return to your account’s main index page, click the Catalyst logo in the top left corner.

Dashboard

The Serverless and Cloud Scale dashboards give a snapshot of your project’s daily activity, showing:

  • Sync Functions Executions: the number of synchronous functions run that day.
  • Async Functions Executions: the number of asynchronous functions run that day.
  • Total Component Calls: the total number of component calls made that day.
  • Cron Executions: the number of cron jobs triggered that day.

Header overview

The top of the console holds several important tools:

  • Deploy to Production: once you have set up a payment method, use this to move your project to the live environment.
  • Environment Switcher: toggle between the development and production environments from this dropdown.
  • Notifications: click the bell icon for alerts and updates across your services, such as a GitHub deployment, a search index being enabled, or an AutoML model finishing training.
  • Settings: customise project features, account preferences and individual components.

Your account and organisations

Click your profile picture to see your Zoho user details and your unique Catalyst user ID, or select My Account to visit your Zoho accounts page. If you belong to more than one organisation, switch between them using the Organizations dropdown.

Tips

  • Check the dashboard regularly to keep an eye on your project’s daily activity.
  • Check notifications regularly for important events.
  • If you work across multiple teams or products, the Organizations feature helps keep them separate and organised.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I find CodeLib in the console?

At the bottom of the left-hand navigation menu, alongside the other services in your project.

Can I deploy to production straight away?

No, you need to set up a payment method first, after which the Deploy to Production button in the header moves your project to the live environment.

Where can I find my Catalyst user ID?

Click your profile picture in the console header to view your Zoho user details, including your unique Catalyst user ID.
