Zoho Sign visible signatures display collected signature metadata directly on the signed document, helping organisations in regulated industries such as banking, finance and healthcare meet compliance standards.

What a visible signature shows

When enabled, a visible signature can display:

  • The recipient’s signature
  • The recipient’s name and email address, auto-fetched from the details the sender provided
  • The signing reason, such as Review or Approval
  • The signing time, based on the sender’s timezone and format settings
  • A unique recipient ID

Layout options

Zoho Sign offers two layout styles for visible signatures: Normal (vertical layout) and Wide (horizontal layout). Normal is applied by default, and senders can choose either style manually. When Controls for Life Science is enabled, visible signatures are turned on automatically with the Normal layout.

How to configure visible signatures

  1. Go to Settings > Account Settings from the left navigation pane.
  2. Check Enable visible signature.
