Phase Gantt View

Estimated reading: 2 minutes 188 views

The Phase Gantt View in Zoho Projects also helps teams manage phase sequencing and dependencies, on top of the basic timeline display.

Managing sequence and dependencies

Because phases are shown as bars along a shared timeline, you can see at a glance which phases run in parallel and which follow on from another, making it easier to spot scheduling conflicts before they cause delays.

How to open and adjust the view

  1. Go to Projects, select a project, and click the Phases tab.
  2. Switch to Gantt View.
  3. Click a phase bar to open its details and review or adjust its dates.
  4. Use the toolbar to toggle labels, show the legend, and compare against a saved baseline.

Things to keep in mind

  • Only projects with both a start and end date appear on the Gantt chart.
  • A phase with invoiced time logs cannot be deleted from this view.
  • The chart can be exported to PDF or printed for status meetings.

Frequently asked questions

Can I edit a phase’s dates directly on the Gantt chart?

Yes, phase bars can generally be adjusted on the chart, and full editing is available from the phase details panel.

What happens if a phase has invoiced time logs?

It cannot be deleted from the Gantt view, since deleting it would affect billed time.
