Introduction

Files in Zoho Sites allow you to manage, store, and organize images, documents, and media content used across your website. Whether you’re uploading custom visuals or importing stock images, the Files section gives you full control over your media assets – all automatically optimized for the web.

This guide walks you through how to upload, manage, and utilize files effectively within your website.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Accessing the Files Section

To access your stored files:

Navigate to the left panel of the Zoho Sites builder.
Click Files to open your My Files

This is your central hub for managing all image and document assets used on your site.

2. Uploading and Organizing Files

You can organize your files into folders (called directories) for easier access and management.

Steps:

Click Add Directory to create a new folder.
Inside the folder, click Upload to add files from your computer.

Supported file types include:

Images (JPG, PNG, SVG, etc.)
Documents (PDF, DOCX, etc.)

Tip: Use meaningful directory names like Homepage Images or Blog Assets for better organization.

3. Sorting and Viewing Options

Zoho Sites makes file management simple with sorting and display tools:

Click the Sort icon to organize files by:
- Name
- File size
- Upload date
Click the Gallery icon to switch to Gallery View, which displays file thumbnails—especially useful when working with many images.

4. Using the Image Library

Zoho Sites is integrated with free image resources to help you enhance your website without needing external downloads.

To access the Image Library:

Open the Files
Click Image Library.
Browse royalty-free stock images from Pixabay and Google.

To use an image:

Select the image you like.
Click Import to Files to store it in your Zoho Sites media library.

Note: Imported images can be used throughout your site, just like uploaded ones.
