Introduction

Pages are the foundation of your website, each offering a distinct way to inform or engage your audience. Zoho Sites makes managing pages intuitive with options to add, edit, reorder, hide, and enhance them with SEO and layout settings. Whether you’re working on a single landing page or a multi-page website, Zoho Sites gives you the flexibility to organize your content effectively.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Accessing Page Management

To manage your pages:

  • Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
  • Select Pages from the Dashboard.

You’ll see a list of all your website pages. To modify a specific page, click Edit Page Info.

2. General Page Settings

Options under the General section:

  • Page Name: Display name for the page.
  • Page URL: Customize or use the suggested URL.
  • Set as Home Page: Toggle this ON if the page should serve as the landing page for your site.
  • Click Save to apply changes.

3. SEO Configuration

Optimize your pages for search engines using Zoho Sites’ built-in SEO tools.

Steps:

  • Go to the SEO
  • Page Title: This appears as the headline in search results.
  • Keywords: Add comma-separated keywords relevant to your page.
  • Description: Add a short summary that appears in search results.
  • Robots Options:
    • noindex – Do not list this page in search engines.
    • nofollow – Search engines won’t follow links on this page.
    • noarchive – Prevents storing a cached copy.
  • Sitemap XML: Toggle ON to allow indexing.
  • Change Frequency: How often your content is updated (e.g., daily, weekly).
  • Priority: Set importance of the page relative to others (1.0 = highest).

Tip: Higher frequency and priority improve indexing chances in search results.

4. Page Layout Settings

Banner

  • Toggle ON to show a banner (hero section) at the top.
  • Can be site-wide or page-specific.

Menu

  • Toggle ON to include the page in your site’s navigation.
  • Select Default to site preferences or override for this page.

Sidebar

  • Toggle ON to add a page-specific sidebar for extra content or menus.

5. Social Preview Image

Customize the image that appears when the page URL is shared on social media platforms.

  • You can set:
    • A site-wide social preview image.
    • A page-specific preview image.

This helps give context to viewers on social platforms.

6. Header and Footer Code

Insert third-party code such as:

  • Google Analytics
  • Translator widgets
  • Custom JavaScript

Steps:

  • Click Header or Footer Code.
  • Paste the relevant code.

Click Save

7. Page Visibility and Menu Management

Hide a Page from the Menu

  • Go to Configuration > Site Options.
  • Click Preferences.
  • Toggle Menu visibility to Hide.
  • Click Save.

Note: This hides the page from navigation but does not delete it.

Unhide a Page

  • Go to Configuration > Menus.
  • Click Add Menu Item.
  • Assign a name and select the page.
  • Click Save.

8. Create Subpages (Page Hierarchy)

To organize pages under a parent page:

  • Go to Configuration > Menus.
  • Drag a page to the right under its intended parent page.
  • Click Save.

Note: Zoho supports up to three levels of subpages with unlimited total pages.

9. Reorder Pages

Rearrange page order in your site’s navigation.

  • Go to Configuration > Menus.
  • Drag and drop pages in the desired sequence.
  • Click Save.
