Estimated reading: 2 minutes 66 views

Introduction

In Zoho Commerce and Billing, you can create and use multiple currencies alongside your base currency. This lets you invoice and accept payments in your customers’ local currencies perfect for UK businesses trading internationally. It’s quick, easy, and keeps your accounts organised.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. View Base Currency

  • Go to Settings → Currencies.
  • Your base currency is automatically set based on your business country—e.g., GBP if your business is in the UK.

2. Add a New Currency

  • Go to Settings → Currencies.
  • Click + New Currency at the top right.
  • In the pop-up:
    • Currency Code: Select the currency, e.g., USD, EUR.
    • Currency Symbol: Auto-fills; customise if needed.
    • Decimal Places: Choose how many decimal points to show.
    • Format: Select your preferred comma and decimal style.
  • Click Save.
  • Your new currency now appears in the list and is available for customers.

3. Edit an Existing Currency

  • Go to Settings → Currencies.
  • Hover over a currency and click Edit.
  • Adjust symbol, decimals, format as needed.
  • Click Save .

Tips

  • Keep formats consistent: Use commas and decimals that match UK expectations (e.g., £1,234.56).
  • Update exchange rates: Exchange rates are updated automatically, but you can enter manual rates if needed.
  • Avoid duplicate clients: To invoice the same client in multiple currencies, consider using separate client profiles.
  • Plan ahead: Decide whether you want live exchange rates or fixed ones—automatic updates can affect your pricing.
  • Check limits: Some Zoho plans limit the number of currencies you can activate—check your plan or linked support article.
